PFUJ visit H.E. Mumtaz Zahra Baloch
Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), led by President Rana Azeem, met Pakistan’s Ambassador to France, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch.
A group from the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), led by President Rana Azeem, met Pakistan’s Ambassador to France, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch.
The Ambassador welcomed the group and said journalists play an important role in any democracy. She added that the media helps promote a positive image of the country. She also talked about Pakistan-France relations and explained how the Embassy works to improve cooperation in trade, culture, education, and media. She further shared information about UNESCO’s work in communication and Pakistan’s efforts in this area.
Rana Azeem informed the Ambassador about the Centenary Congress of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), being held from 5–7 May 2026. The event brings together over 300 journalist organizations from around the world to celebrate 100 years of global cooperation and to plan for future challenges.
The delegation also shared PFUJ’s 5-year strategic plan. They appreciated the role of Pakistani diplomats in presenting the country’s position during last year’s conflict with India and acknowledged Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for peace in the Middle East.
Other members of the delegation included Shakeel Ahmed, Tariq Usmani, Javeria Siddiqui, G. M. Jamali, Abdur Razzaq Sial, Saima Siddique, Asmat ullah Hashwani, Ashraf Majeed, Ahtsham-ul-Haq, Syed Sana Zahra, Mazhar Amanat, and Namrah Nadir.
