H.E. Mumtaz Z. Baloch
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, Pakistan’s Ambassador to France and Permanent Delegate to UNESCO, took part in a policy dialogue at the University of Oxford on “How can policies make education equitable for all?”
She stressed the need for stronger cooperation between policymakers, academics, and civil society to improve education policies. Ambassador Baloch highlighted UNESCO’s role in supporting access to education through policy guidance, technical cooperation, and inclusive education systems.
She also reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for UNESCO’s work in promoting equal access to education and exploring innovative education financing.
Ambassador Baloch further discussed the challenge of out-of-school children in Pakistan and shared details of the country’s Education Emergency Plan, which focuses on expanding access to education, improving foundational learning, increasing digital inclusion, and promoting girls’ educRapport> ation.
