Tariq Sundoo, CEO and co-founder of the Danish-Pakistani Business Council, has served as a voluntary adviser to Pakistani ambassadors in Denmark and Danish ambassadors in Pakistan since 2000. He is currently working on a book about the diplomatic relations between Denmark and Pakistan.

Denmark and Pakistan established formal diplomatic relations in 1949 and are therefore commemorating 77 years of diplomatic ties in 2026.

H.E. Maja Derrous Mortensen assumed her position as Denmark’s Ambassador to Pakistan in late 2025. According to our records, she is the 12th Danish ambassador to Pakistan since 2000 and the second woman to hold this position.
