Distinguished guests were warmly welcomed to mark Pakistan’s National Day and celebrate 75 years of Pakistan-Denmark diplomatic relations. The event honored the 1940 Lahore Resolution that laid the foundation for Pakistan’s creation in 1947.
The Ambassador highlighted deepening cooperation in politics, economy, defense, culture, and education, aiming for a more interconnected future. Recent high-level meetings between Prime Ministers and Foreign Ministers of both countries reaffirmed commitments to trade, climate action, and strategic dialogue.
A timely reminder: both Pakistan and Denmark now sit on the UN Security Council, sharing a duty to uphold global peace. The Ambassador expressed grave concern over India’s recent aggressive actions, warning of threats to international stability, while praising the international community’s role in brokering a ceasefire on May 10.
In a pointed critique, he exposed the Indian media’s role in spreading fake news, citing a Danish newspaper’s report. He emphasized Pakistan’s consistent call for peaceful dialogue—especially on the Jammu and Kashmir issue.
The speech concluded with gratitude to the Danish government, the Pakistani diaspora, and Embassy staff for their contributions, underscoring the enduring bond between Pakistan and Denmark.
“Peace is our strength—dialogue our path forward.” Long live Pakistan-Denmark friendship.
Finally, thank you to all the staff at the embassy for their great work in preparing this unforgettable beautiful EVENT.
