CEO of the Danish Pakistani Business Council Tariq Sundoo along with board members Sohail Sundoo and Suraiya Kasim attended the seminar Global economic outlook: Identifying potential impacts on Danish-Asian business ties held on 21.02.2014 at the Asia House.
Professor Ole Risager (Department of International Economics and Management Copenhagen Business School) gave a very interesting presentation discussing the global economy in general and the current status of the economies of China and Japan in particular. The focus was very much from an investors point of view on specific opportunities and risks in Asia and their impact on the stock markets.
The Emerging Markets (EM) were briefly touched upon and it was mentioned that with the exception of China, EM are not forging ahead as strongly as predicted and it is in fact the Developed Markets that have taken the lead which is a well awaited good news for US, UK and German markets. However global growth is yet not strong enough but the good news is that the global manufacturing has a healthy growth rate at 4.5%.
The members of the DPBC were glad to have attended this discussion which also provided a very good opportunity for networking.Tariq Sundoo met many participants at the seminar. namely, Mr. Patrick Jacobsen, Analyst from the Export Credit Fund.
