The visit is facilitated with the joint efforts of Danish Ambassador in Islamabad,
Jakob Linulf & Pakistan’s Ambassador to Denmark Shoaib Sarwar.
Mikko Keto , Global CEO of FLSmidth Denmark held meetings with Pakistani Federal Ministers for Finance, Investment, Petroleum and Commerce during a recent visit to Islamabad to explore new business opportunities especially in Pakistan mining sector.
Mikko Keto is back from an insightful trip to Islamabad. The aim was to discuss with the government establishing mining opportunities and show our long-term commitment in a country where we have been engaging with over the course of the last 50 years.
From all the discussions, it was obvious that the public and private sector are deploying all efforts to support a thriving and responsible mining industry for the benefit of the country and its people.
The exceptional geology of Pakistan, particularly along the Tethyan Metallogenic Belt in Balochistan, is a valuable opportunity to produce the minerals required for the energy transition in the coming years.
FLSmidth is a famous Danish company and has a major presence throughout Pakistan’s cement sector. This has especially come into effect in the installations in a majority of the cement plants in Pakistan. This the first time that a focus on mining sector in Pakistan has been sat on the main agenda.
Tariq Sundoo CEO, compliments the cooperation between the two nations. FLSmidth started the cooperation with Pakistan since 1975
