Jens Mørch, Editor-in-Chief of Polennu.dk, recently had the pleasure of attending a dinner with Pakistan’s former caretaker Prime Minister and current Senator, Anwaar Kakar, as well as Pakistan’s Ambassador to Denmark, Shoaib Sarwar.

The evening provided a valuable opportunity for an open and constructive exchange of views. It was both insightful and enriching to gain a deeper understanding of how current global and regional developments are viewed from Pakistan, including perspectives on domestic affairs and developments in neighboring countries.

Senator Anwaar Kakar came across as a thoughtful and forward-looking political leader with a strong engagement in international affairs. Among other reflections, he emphasized the importance of truth and trust as fundamental values in today’s rapidly changing and often uncertain global environment — a perspective that resonates far beyond national borders.

The discussions also touched upon Poland and the broader relations between Denmark and Poland, as well as wider international cooperation. In an increasingly interconnected world, maintaining an active interest in global structures and developments remains both relevant and necessary.

The evening concluded in a positive spirit, with a shared intention to continue the dialogue in the future — whether in Pakistan, Poland, or Denmark, time will tell.

Warm thanks to Tariq Sundoo CEO for the invitation and excellent company, and best wishes for a successful visit to the remaining Nordic capitals.
