The Danish Pakistani Business Council welcomes the historic Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran as an important step toward a peaceful and diplomatic resolution of the conflict.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that an initial agreement between the United States and Iran has been signed by both sides following mediation efforts led by Pakistan. Under the reported terms, Iran will reopen the Strait of Hormuz while the United States will lift its naval blockade, with both measures taking effect immediately.

The agreement, which includes the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the lifting of the U.S. naval blockade, reflects the value of dialogue and constructive engagement. We commend all parties involved for their efforts and hope this agreement will contribute to lasting peace, stability, and cooperation across the region.
