Special Investment Facilitation Council Mr. Jamil Qureshi, Sec. held a highly productive meeting today with H.E. Maja Derrous Mortensen, Ambassador of Denmark to Pakistan, along with her Economic Team, at the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

During the discussion, we agreed to further strengthen and expand our engagement with both new Danish market entrants and established Danish companies that are already making valuable contributions to Pakistan’s economic development. These include A.P. Møller–Maersk, FLSmidth, DSV, Bestseller, Haldor Topsoe, Sanovo Technology, Borch Textile Group, Eldan Recycling, and Novo Nordisk, operating across key sectors such as maritime and logistics, industrial manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, mining, clean technology, and textiles.

SIFC reaffirmed its commitment to actively facilitate Danish businesses through its single-window framework, ensuring streamlined processes, regulatory support, and efficient coordination to enable investment and operational ease in Pakistan.

Ambassador Mortensen also shared strong interest from additional Danish companies currently exploring opportunities in renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, logistics, agriculture, information technology, and clean technology. Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination and continuous engagement to translate this growing interest into concrete investment commitments, joint ventures, and long-term strategic partnerships under SIFC’s facilitation framework.

This engagement reflects the shared commitment of Pakistan and Denmark to deepen economic cooperation, promote sustainable development, and unlock new avenues for mutually beneficial growth.
