For the past three years, His Excellency Jakob Linulf was the Ambassador, and during his term of office, Denmark and Pakistan expanded cooperation, especially within climate action and green transition. We thank Jakob Linulf for your great efforts and for coming here today.

Welcome here today, where we can celebrate the excellent relationship between the Kingdom of Denmark and Pakistan diplomatic relations for 76 years.

This year we have had 76 years of diplomatic relations with embassies and ambassadors in both countries.

Let me start by introducing our guests here today:

Also welcome the Pakistani Ambassador to Denmark, His Excellency Mr. Shoaib Sarwar, who has been here in Copenhagen since august 2023. We are very honored that you could come here today. We look forward to your speech. We had the pleasure of congratulating the newly appointed ambassador to Pakistan, Maja Mortensen.

We also have the great pleasure to welcome several politicians from the Parliament, former and current members and not least thanks to the city council and regional council members as well as the municipal and regional council election candidates.
