We are proud to introduce Aisha Farooqui who currently serves as the Ambassador of Pakistan to the Portuguese Republic, bringing over three decades of diplomatic experience across Pakistan’s external relations. With a Master’s in International Relations from Quaid-e-Azam University, her career includes serving as Ambassador of Pakistan to Ireland, National Coordinator SCO, Official Spokesperson at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Consul General in Houston. Her postings at UNESCO Paris, DFID London, Cairo, Ankara, and Dublin have given her deep insight into how societies address social challenges — lessons she actively brings back to Pakistan.
Throughout her career, Aisha Farooqui has built a strong reputation for connecting people, cultures, and countries through diplomacy and strategic partnerships. She recently facilitated a landmark partnership between FC Porto and Sialkot Football Academy to train young Pakistani boys and girls, and is also a published author of Musings of a Nomad. Her primary objective in Portugal is to strengthen Pakistan-Portugal relations across trade, education, sports, and technology, while championing social justice and societal transformation in Pakistan.
