Danish Pakistani Business Council, extend our warm congratulations to the global Catholic community on the election of Pope Leo (XIV).
We value our ties with the Holy See and remain committed to promoting harmony between religions, mutual respect and our common pursuit of peace and human values. In a world where people – by necessity or desire – move across borders more than ever before in history and find themselves in unfamiliar and alien cultures, the need for dialogue between religions is increasing.
There is a need for knowledge and empathy for the faith of other people – and there is a need for mutual respect. This was stated by Pope Benedict XVI in his address to the members of the Pontifical Council for Migrants, who are meeting in Rome this week to discuss immigration to and from Islamic countries. – Christians in Western countries must respect and welcome immigrants from all countries and all religions, said the Pope.
This historic moment marks a new chapter of hope and inspiration for millions around the world. We values its ties with the Holy See and remains committed to promoting interfaith harmony, mutual respect, and our shared pursuit of peace and human dignity.
