On the occasion of August 14, Independence Day, a ceremony was held at the Pakistan Embassy in Copenhagen, in which a large number of Pakistanis living across the country participated. Among them were the first-generation elders and women of Pakistanis, as well as school children.

On this occasion, the Ambassador of Pakistan, Mr. Shoaib Sarwar, especially thanked the Pakistanis for joining the ceremony to celebrate their country’s Independence Day “despite being a working day” and expressed their national spirit. He told about the anti-Pakistan aggression by India in recent days and said that the Pakistan Army and especially the Pakistan Air Force have caused a disaster for India.

We hope that India will not take such an ignorant and aggressive step. He said that Pakistan wants peace and security in the region and its services for this are being acknowledged all over the world today. And India should keep in mind that Pakistan is not a soft snack that it will swallow. Pakistan is a nuclear power, and this is not just a show. Our forces have proven that they can bring India to its knees by giving such a befitting reply within five hours. He paid great tribute to the Pakistani armed forces and their commanders and said that the Pakistani nation stands by its armed forces. He mentioned the Pakistanis living in Denmark and Pakistanis spread all over the world and said that all of them are patriots, their love for Pakistan is their passion and faith and they provide a huge amount of foreign exchange for the development and prosperity of their country.

He especially appreciated the fact that during the Indian attack on Pakistan, Pakistanis in Denmark also stood by the armed forces like Pakistanis at home and even today, Pakistanis in Denmark especially pay tribute to the armed forces.

During the speech of the Pakistani ambassador, Pakistanis enthusiastically raised slogans of Pakistan Zindabad and Pakistan Zindabad.

Ambassador of Pakistan Shoaib Sarwar congratulated the delegates of the event on this day and said that they will take every possible step to serve the dear country and their patriotic spirit will increase further. On this occasion, many first-generation Pakistanis expressed their feelings and congratulated each other on Independence Day and thanked the Pakistan Embassy in particular for leaving no stone unturned in organizing this magnificent event.

Another prominent aspect of the event was that women of the Pakistani Christian community presented national anthems together, school children presented a colorful tableau on various national figures of Pakistan, while in Denmark, renowned Pakistani musician and Sufi music introducer Pervez Akhtar, who introduced Pakistan’s national songs to Europe, presented Pakistan’s national songs. And thus, the event concluded with a sumptuous dinner for all the guests.

Finally, messages from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan on August 14 were read out. In which it was said that today, while offering thanks to Allah Almighty, I congratulate the nation on the completion of 78 years of Pakistan. He further said that I salute the father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the thinker of Pakistan, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, along with the courageous and far-sighted leaders and workers of the independence movement.
